the proper setup (see the “Before You Begin Cleaning” section for
details). The three tasks described in the following sections represent
minimal risk as long as you stay within the guidelines. For example,
removing old cookies and Web site data from your system is relatively
painless and unlikely to cause problems, but removing old application
settings can cause problems.
